I was just thinking about how gold could become more valuable. What if we would be able to buy weapons or armor by borrowing if we are short? Then we would be able to buy items we are close to being able to afford without having to leave town and have it disappear on us. We would not be able to buy anything else in town, gamble, or have weapons and armor repaired until the debt was repaid.

Gold will continue to be worthless as long as players have an option to drastically increase the size of gold drops. Gold will continue to be valuable as long as we have the option to drastically increase the amount needed to buy a desired item/feature. c how that werk?

the only thing a gld driven trade system woudl do is ruin the diablo franchise. diablo has been item based since D1 to change it now would be n epic mistake. think about it like this since everyone gets thier own drop's and gold is the econamy then whats the point of havin every one with thier own drops since now teh items are worthless and gold is all people want meaning low lvl items vanish from the server an only teh high lvl wirth a ton of gold !# will be worth keeping. so if your planin on makin gold worth somethign you might as well make drops public again cause they will be wortjless for trade value. remeber bash this is not wow this is not an rts this is an rpg/action game and every rpg/action game gold is worthless as trade value.
