D3DB Revamp Coming Soon

Posted November 10th, 2008 at 1:26:13 AM CST by matt - 5 Apologies for the lack of updates over the last couple weeks, we've been hard at work on the new mmos.com and also a complete revamp of the Diablo III Database.

We're pushing towards a more simple and intuitive design and after having a hands-on experience with Diablo III at BlizzCon we've recoded the database with a more accurate/useful approach. Look forward to the changes in the coming weeks.

BlizzCon 08 World of Warcraft & Diablo III Press Conference Video

Allen Brack) and the Diablo III Lead Designer (Jay Wilson) sat down with fansites for a Q & A session during last week's BlizzCon.

This interesting conference touched on a wide variety of topics including whether or not Diablo III would be subscription based, the inventory, auto stat assigning, party limits, PvP and more.

BlizzCon Opening Ceremonies Video

Posted October 12th, 2008 at 7:17:32 AM CDT by matt - 3 Getting this video together was a big headache due to technical problems, which was the reason it wasn't posted sooner. Though we're happy to know you guys are appreciating the coverage with several thousands of views on the class design panel video we posted yesterday morning. BlizzCon has officially ended and our boys on the front lines are on the plane home as I write this post. They've got a pile of unposted video on their laptops that will be edited and shared once they're back.

The opening ceremony was conducted by Mike Morhaime (President and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment). In this presentation he reveals the new Wizard class and invites everyone at BlizzCon to be the first ones in the world outside of the company to play Diablo III. Please enjoy if you weren't lucky enough to be a part of the 3rd BlizzCon or aren't a DirecTV subscriber.

In other news, we've fixed up the blue tracker so that it watches the new battle.net forums. Posts from forums.battle.net will now have a blue bnet icon next to the thread names.

Diablo III Class Design Panel Video
